I set out to paint Spanish landscapes for an exhibition, but my journey took an unexpected turn, leading me to a small village in Languedoc, which inspired "Path." The scene unfolded during a stroll in the hills near Beziers – a town worth visiting for its delightful cheese shop. The morning light there mesmerized me, creating an ambiance that made me stop. The artwork portrays a humble path at the village's fringe, bathed in such intense sunlight that the distant fields dissolve into a gentle haze, melding light with the landscape. Bold in its color palette, the painting is dominated by the sun's extreme yellows, almost consuming the scene yet portraying a positive vision of moving forward, of progress and brightness.
