"Stream" emerges from a melding of two distinct visions. The foundational motif, a stream, was first captured during a leisurely mountain hike. Sketched hastily on a scrap of paper, the initial depiction was simple and imperfect. Back in the studio, this raw sketch underwent a transformation, evolving into a more structured scene. The real-world inspiration was a close-up view of a small stream and a solitary pebble, which, when expanded upon in the painting, resulted in a unique, almost distorted perspective. The addition of the sky further altered the perception, creating an intriguing play on depth and scale. My artistic process thrives on such spontaneity and chance.
